So delicious, and suprisingly easy to make!
1 1/2 C Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 C Brown Sugar
125g Melted Butter
395g Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 Tbsp Golden Syrup
1 Tbsp Butter
500g Dairy Milk Chocolate
Preheat oven to 180 C.
Base: Stir all the base ingredients together until mixed well. Press firmly into a slice pan and bake for 10 minutes. While the base is in the oven, prepare the caramel.
Caramel: In a pan on low heat, add all caramel ingreditents together. Stir constantly until it starts to boil then stir for another 5 minutes. Poor onto the base and bake for a further 10 minutes.
Chocolate: While the base/ caramel is cooling, melt the chocolate* and butter together until smooth. Spread this over the caramel layer and allow to cool until chocolate has hardened (chill it to spead this up).
Once its done, cut it into squares with a warm knife and enjoy!
*I do this by filling a put with water and putting it on low heat, adding the chocolate/ butter to a bowl and placing this in the water, stirring constantly until completely melted.
